Episode 33: Copyright and wrong

The folks behind Adium lead this week’s Lame List nominations, followed by Wikipedia, for reasons obvious and not-so-obvious.

Picks for this episode are music albums: one a non-commercial release from Rhymefest (for legal reasons) and the other a slightly more commercial album from a little band called Coldplay.

Topics for discussion include: Microsoft ends sales of Windows XP, Apple begins the MobileMe service (poorly) and the App Store opens for business.

I recently found this podcast after listening to 2PSTART Live for a while, and it bugs me how I can’t download any of the eariler podcasts! Well, I can, but iTunes won’t recognize it as a podcast, just as an audio file. THAT belongs on the Lame List… >.>

Is there anything you can do about this?

Did you click on the “Subscribe in iTunes” link? It will take you to the iTunes Store where you can subscribe to the podcast and the episodes will be downloaded to your Podcasts collection.

Yes, I did. It only goes back to episode 34: Not Very Cuil in the iTunes store. This is also not cuil. I mean, 2PSTART Live shows all the episodes back to episode 1, so I really don’t know why it does this for you podcast. I wonder if the fact that you spread them over multiple pages on your site while on 2PSTART they are all on one page has anything to do with it.

It is a setting in WordPress, which we have now changed. You should now be able to see all the entries in the podcast feed.

Caution is advised on listening to the really old episodes!
